We install interconnected (and meshed) photoelectric smoke alarm systems in residential homes and caravans.
Our system includes a remote for testing and silencing alarms. The remote can also quickly locate the detector raising the alarm.
We provide comprehensive instructions for testing, operation and maintenance of your system.
Our smoke detectors have a Certificate of Conformity from the CSIRO Active Fire verification group confirming the detectors meet the National Australian standard AS 3786–2014 as required in QLD.
We issue a Certificate of Compliance for smoke alarm systems we install. We ensure compliance meets the following regulations:
- QLD Building Regulation 2021
- QLD Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008
- QLD Fire Services Act 1990
Your Installer has a Blue card and NDIS screening for your safety and peace of mind.
We can not help if your home has a hard wired 240Volt smoke detector. (Not sure - check your fuse box and if you have a circuit with smoke detector or smoke alarm, then we can not work on your equipment). You will need a licensed Electrician to perform the upgrade to interconnected photoelectric detectors. If your house was constructed within the last 10-15years good chance it has a 240Volt smoke detector(s).
Standard ceiling height is 2.4metres, colonial houses commonly have a 3.0metre ceiling. These are fine. If your house has a double height ceiling that can not be reached using a 2.5metre ladder then we can not help you.
If your house is under construction or major renovation we can not help you until the work is completed. Also you may be required to install 240Volt smoke alarm detectors under the National Construction Code. We can not help you if this is the case.
We can not help if you are looking for a Smoke Alarm System for a Commercial building. We only install in residental houses.
We do not issue Certificates of Compliance for systems we have not installed.

One per bedroom + one per adjacent room or hallway. If you have 3 bedrooms opening to one hallway that will be 4. If you have 3 bedrooms, 2 opening up to a hallway an 1 opening up to different space, then you need 5 detectors. Now add 1 per extra level in your house (even if there is no bedroom on this level)
Please note, this a minimum calculation, the Installer will advise if you require more detectors on inspection.
